Further information | Former window dresser in boutique, then wartime paint
sprayer, aged 17 on enrolment to WLA. Living in Luton, Bedfordshire
on enrolment. She remembered that, when at Kensworth Hostel, land girls were locked in the library when American soldiers were around, for their protection.
