Water
By Jane McLaren
Clouds heavy with moisture,
Let their tears fall,
A storm or a monsoon,
Or, just a squall.
Rain water soaks earth,
Fills rivers and lakes,
A sustenance to life,
Which nature partakes.
The land with drought,
Is parched and dry,
Crops will not flourish
And animals will die.
There are fish in oceans,
salty water of the seas,
On which boats sail,
Dependent on the breeze.
A waterfall cascades,
Down a mountainside,
Its spray is a veil,
Pure water, the bride.
