Further information Appointed Forewoman.  Part-time tutor at Ravensden training hostel.  Mixed farming, then county-wide responsibility for hostel gardens.  Awarded British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to the Women's Land Army.  Attended full time horticulture course at Swanley (Kent Agricultural Institute) 1947/48.  Then did experimental agricultural work with gangs for Unilever at Colmworth, post-war.
