What does 'ephemera' mean?
- 'Ephemera' is a plural word meaning things that are intended to last for a
short time only. (It comes from a Greek word meaning 'things lasting just for
a day')
- Examples of printed and written ephemera include pamphlets and leaflets,
posters, magazine articles, opening ceremony programmes, theatre playbills,
transport timetables and tickets, election leaflets and a whole host of other
small items
