The Bedfordshire Historical Record Society (BHRS)
is a society that publishes researched material on the history of
Bedfordshire. Volumes include articles and monographs and original records
relating to the county. A new volume is published each year
The BHRS maintains a
Bedfordshire history blog,
with news, book reviews and more. The blog invites your comments and
contributions
The society has been publishing material since 1912. Much of the work on
the early volumes was produced by George Herbert Fowler, who was instrumental
in setting up the County Record Office (now known as
Bedfordshire & Luton
Archives & Records Service)
