Finding postcodes
- Find a postcode by searching
the Royal Mail's web site (see
web site tips below) or call the
Postcode Enquiry Line (but note the premium rate during office hours).
The printed postcode directories have ceased publication
- The Royal Mail web site also enables you to find an address if you have the
postcode
- The Royal Mail also has various products suitable for businesses and other large
users. Details of those products are on the

Royal Mail web site tips

The Royal Mail web site allows each user to make 12 searches during any 24 hour period

At the Royal Mail site, see the Personal Customers section and click 'Postcode
finder'

Enter an address and click Find postcode

You then have to enter a series of random characters that you will see on
the screen and click Continue before you see the results (This is to prevent
automated systems using the search facility)

At the 'Find a postcode' page you can also click 'Find an address'. At
the 'Find an address' page you can enter a full postcode to find an address

Search tips are at the Need help? section below the search form. You can
search for postcodes by various different combinations of search criteria

The Need help? section also gives you a link to an enquiry form that you can
send to the Royal Mail if you cannot find the postcode or address you are
looking for
