Church Plans On-line
The archive of the Incorporated Church Building Society (set up in 1818 to promote the building and repair of Anglican chrches in England and Wales) includes over 13,000 church plans submitted to the society between 1818 and 1982. These were included in applications for grants to the society and can be searched for by place, area, people/firm and by date. Brief details are given about the reasons for the application and the architects and firms involved in the projects.

Images of England
Images of England is an English Heritage initiative and part of the National Monuments Record. It contains over 300,000 photographic records of England's built heritage. A basic search is freely available but you will need to register for 'Advanced' searching. As well as houses, churches and bridges, it includes lamp posts and lavatories, phone boxes, mile stones and gravestones.
