All Saints church in Ridgmont High Street was built in 1854-55 to replace the original parish church at Segenhoe to the South of the village. The old church now a ruin was situated near the ancient homestead of the manor of Segenhoe.
The new church was built to the designs of George Gilbert Scott, chiefly at the expense of the Duke of Bedford and cost 4390. The foundation stone was laid on the 25th April 1854 and the church was consecrated on the1st November 1855.
After the new church was opened, the old church was retained as a mortuary chapel, also the new church did not have a burial ground and the churchyard at Segenhoe remained in use. Apart from the occasional repair the church has altered little from Victorian times.
In 1992-93 the church spire and roof was repaired, at a cost of 37,000.
