The Boathouse on the Embankment, Bedford

The new boathouse, designed by local architect George Allen in 1921 to accommodate Bedford Modern School, Bedford School and Bedford Rowing Club. To the right can be seen the boat-slide allowing access to punts and boats from the main river to the lower river and back.
