In the 3rd round of the F.A. Cup at Highbury in front of a 55,000 crowd Bedford Town drew 2-2 with Arsenal after being two goals down with 15 minutes left. The Eagles goal scorers were Steel in the 76th minute and Moore in the 84th minute. (10th January)
An all steel grandstand with 3,500 seats is to be erected on Bedford Town F.C. ground at a cost of 16,000. (17th April)

A new early morning train is to be run between Bedford and Luton for the benefit of workers travelling to the Vauxhall Motors works who for sometime been dissatisfied with the present travelling facilities. The new workman's train will leave Bedford at 7.00am. (20th March)

Polio vaccine for Bedfordshire, new vaccine which is believed to confer a degree of protection against the disease. (31st January)
