Margaret Nash grew up in a big northern industrial city, where she worked as a librarian.  She now lives in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

She has written over forty books, as well as plays for a professional children's touring theatre company, and contributes stories to Scholastic educational journals.

Her work includes Secret in the Mist - a picture book which gained a Smarties' Bronze Award, Under a Hostile Sky - a story about the Second World War, Out of the Shadow - an adventure novel set in an industrial mill town, and Sammy's Secret, one of her many books for young readers.

Her interests:
Friends - good ones; Cats - friendly ones; Books - exciting ones, flowers - all!  Margaret enjoys visiting schools to talk to young people, particularly in the locality.
