How do I join the library?
You can join in your local library but we will need your parent or guardian to sign your form and show one form of ID, showing your name and address. Don't worry if your parents can't come with you as we can provide you with an Instant Library Card so you can borrow books straight away! If you prefer you can join online now and collect your library card from your library of choice.At what age can I join the library?
From birth! There is no age restriction to library membership.

Do I need a PIN?
Yes! A Personal Identification Number can be used to renew and request items
online. Plus, many useful online resources require you to log in with your
library card number and PIN.
Don't forget that children can request items for free but only on their own
library card!
What is the best way to renew items?
You can log in online using your library card number and PIN and renew
everything! You can also phone your local library and renew too.

Am I entitled to free or reduced charges?
You may be. Children under 16 already have free reservations and a much
reduced overdue charge. However, if you are registered visually impaired,
hearing impaired or dyslexic then you are also entitled to free audio visual
loans. Proof of the entitlement is required and you can update your status
at any time.
