Further information	Moved to Ampthill with her parents. Her mother, Lilian Maud Weston, married William McDiarmaid, 29 October 1926 in Bethnal Green, London. Her half-sister, Joyce Lilian Kathleen McDiarmaid, was also a land girl in Bedfordshire. Sylvia married an American serviceman, Reuben 'Chuck' Korsgarden of US 8th Airforce stationed at Melchbourne Park, Bedfordshire, on 16 December 1944 in Ampthill. After the war ended, they moved to Twin Valley, North Dakota and had five children. Sylvia died on 7 May 2006.
