A-Z How to Find Information > Law and Your Rights > How can I find a report of a court case?
- There is no one single publisher of law reports. Law reports are published in different 'series' by, for example, official bodies, commercial publishers or newspapers
- Sometimes it may be quicker to obtain free a summary of a law case than a full report and you may find that a summary gives you all the detail you need
- If you have the abbreviated details of a law report and need to check the meaning of the abbreviations see the Cardiff index to legal abbreviations
- Check whether the case you need was actually heard by a tribunal rather than by a court. If it was, see Where can I see a report of a tribunal case?
- You can contact us to help you find what you need
