- Credo Reference - offers access to thousands of art images, especially in several large collections: 'The Bridgeman Library Art Archive', 'The Bridgeman History of Science' and the 'National Gallery Collection'. Find these in the Art category by clicking the 'Find a Book' tab.
- Oxford Very Short Introductions - read the Contemporary Art title written by an expert in the field to learn more.
- Britannica Library Online - articles on major art topics and artists, with images and web links.
- Newspapers Online - can search international, national and local newspapers for news and reviews of art exhibitions.

In the Library
- You can browse academic articles on Art and Design for free using the Access to Research service
- You can consult many standard reference books on art, architecture, craft and design in the large collections at Bedford Central Library. Dunstable Library has several standard works and other libraries have at least an encyclopaedia or dictionary of art and artists
- There is a wide range of art and design books available for loan covering a wide range of subjects - such as the art movements, artists, how to and more. Search the Library Catalogue to discover what is at your local library
