- You can browse academic articles on Earth and Environmental Sciences for free using the Access to Research service
- The three larger libraries Bedford, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard Library each have the major reference work Grzimek's animal life encyclopedia, 2nd edition, in 17 volumes. With articles written by experts and thousands of colour images, the encyclopedia includes insects, fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals and more.
