The Natural History of Bedfordshire

Page ten begins with "magnificent seat" of Wrest Park, home to the Grey family, and Haunts, the seat of Lord Carteret.

Caddington is noted as the ancient seat of the Gascoigns.  Sir William Gascoign was thrice High Sheriff of Bedfordshire.

The text concludes with an account of a gentleman from Bedfordshire "who, in the 85th year of his age, or thereabouts, had a new set of teeth, his hair also, which was then very white, became much darker.  Dr Slare who gives this account, attributes this to his frequent use of sugar, which it is thought, contributed greatly to his health and strength, even to the 100th year of his age, and then he died of a Plethora, for want of bleeding."
