PASSENGERS of the British Airship R.101

which Crashed in France on
Sunday Morning  OCT 5th 1930
with a loss of 48 lives including Lord Thomson, Air Minister
and Sir Sefton Brancker Air Vice Marshall

May Their Souls Rest in Peace

Sacred to the memory of the men who died

Flower-bedecked coffins being taken to Cardington Church escorted by the RAF. The bodies were picked up at St. Johns Station, Bedford.

Crowds line the route as the funeral passes on its way to the crash victims last resting place.
