Local newspapers are a valuable source of information on every aspect of life in your town or village
Bedfordshire libraries hold all significant Bedfordshire newspaper titles, in hard copy and on microfilm. The earliest, the Bedfordshire Mercury, begins in 1837

Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard and Biggleswade libraries hold long back-files of their local papers
The other libraries have just the current issue, or a very short back-file, of their local papers
