Where can I find contact details of a charity?
- For local charities and voluntary organisations, see the Local Information Database
- Details of registered charities are on the Charity Commission site. Small charities and some others do not have to register and are therefore not on the site

How can I become a volunteer?
- Volunteering opportunities are coordinated by local Volunteer Centres. Go to Voluntary Works and click on 'View Volunteer Centres' to find your local centre
- You will find information about volunteering and you can also search volunteering opportunities online
How can I find out about running a charity or other voluntary organisation?
- Official information is on the Charity Commission site
- The National Council of Voluntary Organisations is the largest umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in England, with many pages of advice and support on its web site
