The Studio was published monthly from April 1893 (vol. 1, no. 1) to May 1964 (vol. 167, no. 853). Each volume covers a four month period. Issues are numbered in one continuous sequence
The Studio was continued as Studio International, which was published six times a year from June 1964 (vol. 167, no. 854) to July 1992 (vol. 201, no. 1020) plus a special issue in 1993 (numbered vol. 201, no. 1022/1023) in celebration of the centenary of The Studio
Studio International continues as a Studio International web site with exhibition reviews and some archival articles

The Studio picture index 1893-1933, volumes I - CVI (1-106), was published alphabetically in consecutive issues of Studio International from March 1985 (issue 1008) onwards. From December 1985 it appeared as a supplement to Studio International
You can view the volumes of 'The Studio Picture Index' covering Bou-Buy, E, F G and H at Bedfordshire Heritage Library but, as for The Studio itself, please arrange in advance for them to be brought from a library store for you
You can check for references to articles in The Studio about an individual artist by looking up the artist's name in a six-volume art dictionary at Bedford Central Library. The dictionary is called 'Allgemeines Lexikon der Bildenden Kunstler des XX Jahrhunderts' and it covers international artists born after 1870. It is in German but even if you cannot read German it should be possible to work out what the article references are. Library staff will be happy to help you
The National Art Library, a public reference library, at the Victoria and Albert Museum, has some bound indexes for The Studio
