13th Century: Apart from the church doorway dating from the 13th century, hardly any trace remains of the medieval church although the list of incumbents can be traced back to 1239.

1855: The church was partially rebuilt, enlarged and re-seated and re-opened on the 19th March 1857.

1860c: The brickfield was in existence by this date and eventually covered just over 6 acres, the brickfield had ceased production by 1914.

1861: The village school opened.

1863: Baptist Chapel built with seating for 150.

1921: Latin Cross of Portland stone erected in churchyard as War Memorial.

1930: Village Hall built at a cost of 1,600 funded by The John Rand Charity of Holwell.

1966: The Marquis of Granby Public House closes in June.

1971: The church was extensively restored with the vestry rebuilt and a new tiled floor and modern seating in the nave.

1985: Upper and Lower Stondon joined to become the parish of Stondon.
