HUSBORNE CRAWLEY is a pleasant village and parish, in the hundred of Manshead, and Union of Woburn, from which place it is distant 1 miles. The population in 1851 was 608, and in 1861 it was 535 ; the number of acres about 1,650. The Church is a small structure, with nave, chancel, and aisles, and fine tower, of considerable height, with six bells. In the interior are some ancient monuments. The living is a vicarage, in the gift of the Duke of Bedford, and incumbency of the Rev. V. S. C. Smith, M.A.
