Commemorative metal plaque on the side corner of the present Rose public house, 45 High Street (eastern side). Date of plaque erection unknown.

The inscription reads:
Formerly the Rose Inn
There has been a tavern,
coaching inn and hostelry
on this site since the
17th century.
