Owen's Boys School, London, plaque dedicated to the inhabitants of Bedford, commemorating the school's WW2 presence as 'evacuees'. Located to the right of the Harpur Centre shopping mall entrance. Erected in 2009.
The inscription states:
To the citizens of Bedford
Thank you for putting us up
and putting up with us
1939 - 1945
Dame Alice Owen's Boys' School, London
which shared on this site
the classrooms and quadrangle of
Bedford Modern School
Rededicated 1st September 2009
