Commemorative brown plaque on this domestic building, on the south-east corner of St Paul’s Square, just around the corner from the town bridge and across the road from the
former Turnley drinking fountain. Erected in 2009.
The inscription states:
A 15th or 16th century jettied timber-framed
building with an 18th century façade.
Formerly an inn known successively as
'The Falcon', 'The Seven Stars' and 'The Ship'.
