The offices of the above firm are situated close to the Midland Railway Station, only a few yards from the gates. Messrs. Townshend and Anderson undertake the general management of house property and estates on fixed moderate terms, which include the collection of rents, supervision of repairs, and re-letting, and owners are thus saved not only a deal of personal trouble, but, as a matter of fact, have their nett income considerably augmented. The firm publish on the 1st of each month a list of all the houses in Bedford that are to be let, and are always willing to give intending tenants information respecting them free of charge. Particulars of properties for sale by private treaty are also to be obtained, free of charge, on application at their offices. Valuations of every description are undertaken, and executors will find their services for probate purposes reliable. The preparation of plans and specifications for new buildings, additions and alterations, and the making of valuations, inventories, and surveys are all carried out by them on reasonable terms. The firm are also agents for the Royal Insurance Company, and are thus enabled to effect insurances upon all property sub-mitted to them for this purpose in connection with their estate agency.
