Places > Bedford > Streets > Allhallows
The name Allhallows Street was used by Speed on his map of1610 but Allhallow Lane has been used since. Although for a brief period in the 19th century it was known as Dines Lane after Mr. Dines who had premises on the corner of the southern end. The lane had to be widened in 1836 to allow passages of carts. It was then that the street name reverted to Allhallows Lane.
