The 1910 Bedford Town and Bedford Schools directory describes the club as follows - "Bedford Croquet Club has a fine private ground with 9 lawns. Subscription 1 and one shilling."

The Club was situated in Kimbolton Road close to the Kimbolton Road and St. Peters junction. The club survived on the site until the late 1950s.
