The Lion Hotel

The Lion Hotel was originally called The Red Lion and in the 19th century was a coaching inn and a coach named "The Civility" started here on alternate days, passing through Ampthill and Luton for London leaving the Lion Hotel at 7.am and returning from London the next day at 8.00pm

.

The hotel closed in 1971 and was demolished accept for the façade.
