The holocaust was one of the horrific events of the 20th century, it
forces us to reassess what is meant by humanity. As a young person
insulated from meaningful suffering in 21st century Britain, I find it
almost impossible to conceive of the realities of genocide, however it
is important to understand how this could have happened so as to prevent
it from happening again. Before looking at the brutal slaughter
involved in the logistics of the holocaust it is necessary to looks at
the roots of such hatred in Europe.
