Bedford Borough - volunteer opportunities
We are looking for volunteers for the following roles:
- Summer Reading Challenge 2025 Volunteers.
Are you aged 14-18 years old?
Do you have some free time between 23rd July and 31st August?
Bedford Borough Libraries are looking for people to join our team of young volunteers to help run the Summer Reading Challenge this summer. You’ll be helping children join the challenge, talk to them about books and hand out rewards!

or download an application form here and hand it in to your local library.
If there is no application form associated with the specific role, complete the Volunteer Application Form specifying which role you are interested in, and hand it in to staff at any Bedford Borough Library
for the attention of the Volunteer Co-ordinator, or email it to LibraryandCultureVolunteers@bedford.gov.uk
Please note that we are only looking volunteers in the role(s) listed above. Applications for roles that aren’t listed won’t be considered.
