Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire Library customers can expect to be treated sympathetically and with courtesy knowing that staff have been trained in deaf awareness.


Facilities available in our Libraries :

  • Hearing difficulties symbolConcessionary charges
  • Books (including large print) to loan
  • Closed caption DVDs
  • Search for and request titles, renew your loans and check your details online
  • PIN number for item renewals and requests
  • Fax machines
  • Photocopiers
  • Access to the Internet and Microsoft Office software

  • Hearing loop system on the mobile library, plus Bedford Central and Kempston Library, other Libraries have portable loops.
  • Self service issue at all libraries.
