Course Description
Are you new to your school library or just need a refresher in the ‘basics’?
This course is designed for library co-ordinators and any other staff with library responsibilities to give guidance to schools wishing to improve and develop an existing school library or start one from scratch. We will cover everything from creating a library policy to shelving layout and budgets.
The morning does have a programme but we are happy to help you with any specific problems you may have regarding your own libraries.
Aims of the Course
Enable attendees to:
- feel more confident running the school library
- develop an understanding of the library’s important role in the school
- place the library at the heart of the school, both in policy and practice
