Course Description
This course is ideal for all school staff who are not trained librarians with practical advice on aspects of the day to day running of the school library.
We will be giving guidance on how to get the most out of the Schools Library Service, plus how to classify your stock and a step by step guide on all aspects of book processing, care and maintenance.
If you wish to come please bring five of your own school library books which are in need of ‘attention’ and we will show you the easiest and cheapest way to mend them.
Aims of the Course
By the end of the course you will:
- know more about the Schools Library Service and how to use it
- be able to classify the books on your shelves
- confidently repair and maintain your book stock
