If you are a library member you can search two major online newspaper databases, the 'InfoTrac custom newspaper database' and the 'Times digital archive'.

InfoTrac Custom Newspaper Database

This database provides the full text of articles from eight national newspapers:

• Daily Telegraph (1996 - present)
• Financial Times (1996 - present)
• Guardian (1996 - present)
• Independent (1996 - present)
• Independent on Sunday (1996 - present)
• Observer (1996 - present)
• Sunday Times (1985 - present)
• Times (1985 - present)

The latest articles on the database are from the newspaper issue before the current one or, occasionally, from the issue before that. For today's newspapers, see the Gateway to the Internet.

Times Digital Archive

This archive provides the complete digital edition of The Times for the period 1785 - 1985. You can view the entire newspaper, including all articles, adverts and illustrations/photos.
