Bedfordshire and Luton Libraries' Catalogue

Help with Online Registration

This page explains the difference between Bedfordshire and Luton Libraries.

Though we were at one time the same authority, we are now separate. This means we share a library catalogue system and some resources, but we do not share all items.

We cannot loan audio visual items across the authority borders, therefore you can only borrow videos, DVDs and CDs from the library service you are a member of.

The two boxes show you, as a member, what you can and cannot borrow and request from the other library service.

Joining Bedfordshire Libraries

This form enables you to join the library service immediately. You are then able to request items online, check your borrower details and use a range of resources on the Virtual Library.

Please fill in all the boxes with the red asterisk * by them, you will not be able to join without this information.

There are two types of membership:

Full - This will allow you to request items, access all online resources, borrow items from the library and use the library's IT facilities. As soon as you click 'Send' your library card number and PIN will be returned and you can use the online resources.

To activate your card so you can borrow items and use the IT you will need to take two forms of ID to the library you selected.
