Employed Billeted at Cople WLA hostel but milked for Mr. Harton at Putnoe Lane and other farms around Bedford.  Towards the end of 1941, sent to milk at Luton Hoo for 3 months.  Moved to Mr A Ibbotts Duckworth Farm at Stagsden, doing dairy work and delivering to houses in Goldington Road, BPRA at Grove Place, Bedford, the milk bar at Broadway and St. Peter's Hospital in Kimbolton Road. Moved to Mr Arthur's Beadlow Manor farm and then to Mr. Woodcraft's Wood End Farm, Cotton End.
Married name Gardener
Further information Enrolled in Almonsbury, Essex, aged 18. Transferred to Bedfordshire 2 February 1942. Break in service July-October 1945. Demobilised. Got married on 28 December 1946 at Goldington Church.
