What Are Newspaper Cuttings?

Newspaper cuttings are items from local newspapers that library staff have selected for cutting out and filing by subject so that they may be easily found later
The items selected for cutting are those that are on subjects that people are likely to seek now and in the future
The items may be, for example, news stories, articles, photographs and, occasionally, significant advertisements
