- The Bedfordshire Historical Record Society (BHRS) is a society that publishes researched material on the history of Bedfordshire. Volumes include articles and monographs and original records relating to the county. A new volume is published each year
- The society has been publishing material since 1912. Much of the work on the early volumes was produced by George Herbert Fowler, who was instrumental in setting up the County Record Office (now known as Bedfordshire Archives & Records Service)
- After the Second World War, far more contributors were involved in the production of each volume. From this date too, each volume tended to concentrate on a single subject area, such as those illustrated on this page
