Inflation and price indices measure the rate of increase in prices for goods and services, through a range of different measures
Current inflation and price indices, along with descriptions of the various inflation measures and how they are put together, can be found in the monthly Statistical Bulletins from the Office for National Statistics
Historical inflation rates can also be found through the Office for National Statistics, by clicking on the individual measure and then choosing a time period

Forecasts for UK inflation are produced by the Bank of England in their quarterly Monetary Policy Report
