12th Century: The present church is 14th century but there was an earlier church on the site. There are fragments of the earlier church built into the walls of the present building. The west tower was added in the mid 15th century.
1842: Sarah Dazley poisoned her second husband with arsenic and was hanged outside Bedford Gaol on the 5th August 1843 aged 22. The event was watched by an estimated crowd of 12,000. She also poisoned her first husband Simon Mead and her nine month old son.
1853: The Three Horseshoes Public House renamed The Chequers.
1887: Wrestlingworth Free Church opens.
1996: Wrestlingworth Free Church closes because of dwindling numbers. (Bedfordshire Times, 9th February)
2001: Wrestlingworth Free Church to be converted into a house. (Biggleswade Chronicle, 20th April)
