FRENCH TRIBUTE TO R101 HEROES TO BE UNVEILED AT BEAUVAIS ON SUNDAY NEXT ARRANGEMENTS FOR BRITISH VISITORS

Arrangements are being made for the relatives and friends of those who died in the disaster to H.M. Airship R101 to attend the ceremony of the unveiling of the memorial, erected by the French at Allone, a little village to the South-east of Beauvais. The memorial bears the names of those who perished in the disaster. The unveiling will take place next Sunday, probably at 11 am. A special place is being reserved by the French authorities for the relatives and friends, and, after the ceremony, a visit is to be paid to the actual place in the Beauvais Ridge where the airship fell. The main party will leave London to-morrow (Saturday), and travel via Newhaven to Dieppe and thence by motor-coach to Allone. The arrangements have been so timed that the party will be back again in London at Victoria Station at about 6am on Monday, October 2.  It is stated that the Prime Minister will fly to Allone for the unveiling ceremony if the weather is suitable.
