FLITWICK is a village and parish, distant 3 miles south from Ampthill, and 10 miles from Bedford; in the hundred of Redbournestoke, and diocese of Ely. The Church, dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul, is a neat structure, in the Gothic style of architecture, with a tower and five bells. The living is a vicarage. The number of acres in the parish is about 693.
