Statue and commemorative plaque located in 1st Floor niche above entrance to former Grammar School, St Paul's Square, West. Erected 1767.
The Latin inscription, translated into English, states:
"Here, traveller is a bodily representation of WILLIAM HARPUR, knight, the munificent founder of this school, which you see so spacious and adorned; if you wish to see a picture of his mind you may find it delineated in this record of his benefactions."
