This piece of work is based around the defences set up by the British as precautions to the very real threat of invasion.  I became aware of many of these defences when the group visited the Imperial War Museum in November 2005, from this my interest grew and grew into this project.  It does seem to be an area that few people really focus on and yet could have proved vital to the war effort had the Battle of Britain not been so successful.
