You can look at current loans and reservations for any housebound borrower (or any borrower who has 'history' switched on).
You can see the loans history, including details of author, title, class, media, issue date.
From the loans history page you can pull up a list of all the titles by a previously borrowed author, or all the titles at a previously borrowed class. From this list you can click on a title and it will immediately be reserved.
The user profile page is a starting point for recording more detailed information about the user. At the moment this just acts as a reminder for staff. Later developments could enhance this, for example, to pull up suggestions for stock to reserve not related to previous issues.
Type the borrower number you are interested in on the Housebound Menu page; this borrower number will be carried from option to option (so long as you select the menu link from the bottom of the page!) until you type in a new number.
The Loans History display options let you specify what you will see when you go to the loans history page. Once you are in Loans History you can switch the stock type that is displayed, without returning to the menu page.
At the bottom of the menu page are buttons for the three main options: User Profile, Current Loans, and Loans History.
If you scroll down past the buttons you will see a list of three 'sample borrowers' - these are numbers which you can use to try out options, knowing that you will not mess with a 'real' borrower. But please remember to drop any requests that you set.
This screen gives you details of current issues and current reservations for the borrower.
The borrower's name and address are displayed at the top of the screen as confirmation that you have the required record.
This is the key screen in the Housebound Web system. It lists for you details of what the borrower has previously borrowed.

The next line totals the number of titles issued in the selected period, subtotalling by Fiction, Non-Fiction, and A-V. Click on any of the Stock types on this line to change what is displayed in the list.

To reserve items through the Housebound Web system, please select the loans history option and select an author or class number from the list of previously borrowed items. You will then get a list of all titles by that author or in that class. Clicking on one title will set a reservation for the borrower.
This is an embryo section which currently allows you to record information about the user, their likes and dislikes.
The links on the captions to each section enable you to hide or display that section.
It is really a thought starter for those who deal with services to housebound services so that you can suggest other ways in which this web service can make your life easier or improve customer service.
