Wards, Parishes, and Urban Areas. These provide a selection of key information from the Standard Tables or Key Statistics. Note: The County, District and Ward Profiles accessed through this page prior to 23 June 2005 have now been updated and revised. A list of the Wards in each Urban Area is available here. All Profiles are available both to view, and to download or save as MS Excel files. Maps of Parishes and Wards will be added later. Due to confidentiality concerns, ONS has not published detailed data for Parishes with less than 100 people. Instead these have been combined with a neighbouring parish (e.g.Roxton / Little Barford). Users of thse profiles should be aware that, to ensure no information about individuals or individual households can be identified, ONS has applied various disclosure control methods to all Census data. One of these methods is small cell adjustment. This can result in the numbers in the same data cell differing between tables and, also, in differences between column or row totals (for example, one table might show the population of a ward as 6,408 and another as 6,432). Users should be extremely cautious of tables consisting primarily of very small values (for example in some of the Parish Profiles). To minimise the effect of small cell adjustment, it is recommended that you use data for the largest geographic level that meets your information or research needs. Back to Top
