Serjeant Cyril John Watts,
8th Bn., Parachute Regiment, A.A.C.

('Jack') Cyril John Watts was born on the 16th August 1913. He was the youngest son of John and Lillian Watts who lived at Church Farm Lodge, Cockayne Hatley and later at 41 High Street, Wrestlingworth.

He enlisted in 1930 and served in the 8th Battalion Parachute Regiment Anglian Air Corps during World War II.  He died while on active service on the 24th March 1945.  He is buried at the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery and commemorated on Wrestlingworth War Memorial.
