Join us for singing fun at this informal, friendly group for adults where we just sing for fun plus there are refreshments afterwards. This week we will sing some Queen songs.

Join local jewellery maker Katherine Taylor to design and make a beautiful sterling silver pendant or earrings. The workshop costs 20 and MUST be booked in advance. Price includes materials, equipment, tuition and finishing. The finished piece will be yours to keep! Contact the library to book your place.

Drop in to take a look at our book sale, plus the chance to either buy or swap jigsaws.
Wednesday 6 March 14:30 to 15:30 Flitwick Library A Walk on Atlantis: a talk by David Squibb
A visit to Tenerife, probing behind the hot sunshine, sandy beaches and the souvenir shops to discover ancient mysteries, walk across the volcano, find the beautiful local crafts and find out why this island could be linked to the legendary Atlantis. Look into the crafts of the Oratavo Valley; whale watch from a catamaran; ponder over the pyramids of Guimar; find out why Christopher Columbus visited La Gomera before launching out for America. This is a Good Afternoon event. Admission is 1.50 and includes refreshments.

Come along and mark World Book Day with us. There will be a chance to swap reading recommendations, author suggestions and have a go at our fun quiz.

Holly will be at Kempston Library talking about her journey to publication of her debut novel `The Memory Chamber` and sharing her advice with aspiring authors. Copies of Holly`s book will be available to buy at the event. Tickets are 2 each in advance from the library.

The variety of English gardens now open to the public is wonderful. Come along with the Bedford National Trust to trace the development of garden design over several centuries and marvel at the gorgeous photographic examples of some well-known gardens, and others which may be a surprise.
